Now Booking Faith in Christmas Shows for the 2024 Holiday Season
What exactly is that? Let's start with a pamphlet for the first show we did at the Dale in 2023
(Scroll down to listen to the albums and hear the history of the project.)
After two shows in one night at the Dale, and another show at Cabernet Franks on Christmas Eve, we hope to Bring Back Faith in Christmas. Here is the intention of the show and some of the history.
Between Thanksgiving and New Years, we hope to experiment with putting this show on a local / regional tour. The show runs about 55 minutes and switches between the original 2002 self recorded tracks and to the 22 years later live versions performed by FK and goes back and forth. The original version is very heart warming and adorable and the live tracks go from folk caroling hymnal vibes and into psychedelic-ish synthesizer based songs that both ring into the nostalgia of the innocence, magic and sometimes a creepy eerieness to the nativity based Christmas songs. Although, we do invite Santa Claus show and in general would love to be apart of as many Holiday parties and events as possible :)
We can also play a Couple of Wanderers set after the Christmas Set and fill a night with music.
How did we decide to Bring Back Faith in Christmas? One night, Caswyn Moon and I were hanging out after a Thursday night open mic night at the Dale and he started telling Sara about this project I made when I was a homeschooled kid. I felt embarrassed about the album for years but decided to release it in 2020 to in hopes to cheer anyone up during quarantine along with my first album, Ferfuksake.
After showing Sara some of the songs on my Bandcamp, she exclaimed, "We need to bring back Faith in Christmas," We set a date and I had to figure out how to put on this show 21 years later. Which was a childhood dream come true, but a challenge as an adult. Once that ended up being so much fun that we wanted to share with more folks as soon as possible.
While Bring Back Faith In Christmas won't be officially released until later in the year and Faith in Christmas is available through my Bandcamp. Here are the two albums unlisted on Youtube so you can click through them and check it out if you're interested :)
Please note, I did note write these songs. I do not own any of the music in Faith in Christmas ( 2002), I sang over songs that I found on Christmas CD's and recorded it with a headset. Although, I do perform every song on Bring Back Faith in Christmas (2024) on my guitar, my Moog Sub 37 and a delay pedal.
